Solar cooling

The term 'solar cooling' refers to the generation of refrigerant energy though the radiation heat of the sun. This happens with specific cooling units that use heat as their operating power, which in our case is gathered through our parabolic trough Smirro. Through this absorption refrigerator in conjunction with temperatures of around 180°C (356°C) , temperatures of under 0°C (32°F) can be generated.

By means of our parabolic trough smirro™, both adsorption and absorption cooling systems can be operated and will produce solar cold on different temperature levels.

Solar cooling can be introduced in the following sectors:
  air conditioning of buildings
  cooling of buildings (storage, repository)
  refrigeration processes
